Texas Barbeque Pasta Sauce

Adapted from Riviana Foods, Inc.

  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 28 ozs canned crushed tomatoes, undrained
  • 15 ozs tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsps white vinegar
  • 3 tsps molasses
  • 2 tsps yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp bbq seasoning
  • 1 1/4 tsps salt
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper sauce
  • 16 ozs rotini pasta, cooked and drained
Texas Barbeque Pasta Sauce
In a large saucepan, cook onions until tender. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, vinegar, molasses, mustard, bbq seasoning, chili power, salt, and hot pepper sauce. Bring mixture to a boil or for 20 minutes. Serve sauce over cooked pasta.
