Ginger Creams

Adapted from

  • 3/4 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • 4 tbsps molasses
  • 2 c unbleached flour
  • 2 tsps baking soda
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • granulated sugar
Ginger Creams
In a mixing bowl, combine margarine and sugar. Mix until creamy. Add egg and molasses. Mix well. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon, Add to wet ingredients. Mix until all is combined. Chill several hours, or until firm. Preheat oven to 350. Shape into one inch balls and then roll into granulated sugar. Place onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for ten minutes, or until lightly browned on bottom.
