Tomato Carbonara Pasta Sauce

Adapted from American Italian Pasta Company

  • 1 c fat-free milk
  • 14 1/2 ozs stewed tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 c water
  • 2 ozs carbonara sauce mix
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 8 ozs spaghetti, cooked and drained
In a large saucepan, combine milk, tomatoes, water, sauce mix, and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for several minutes, stirring occasionally. Add mixture to cooked spaghetti. Mix well and serve.
