Sugar Cookie Wreaths

Adapted from Duncan Hines, Treasury Of Baking

  • 22 1/3 ozs sugar cookie mix
  • 1/4 c olive oil
  • 1 whole egg
  • 4 drops food coloring, green
  • maraschino cherries, drained and cut up
Preheat oven to 375. In a mixing bowl, combine cookie mix, oil, egg, and green food coloring. Mix well. Form into balls the size of miniature marshmallows. For each wreath, roll into ten balls with sides touching into a ring. Place wreaths two inches apart on prepared baking sheets. Flatten with fingers. Place small piece of cherry on each ball. Bake for seven minutes, or until set but not browned.
