Cheese Stuffed Manicotti

Adapted from Great American Home Cooking

  • Marinara Sauce:
  • 1/2 c onions, chopped
  • 29 ozs canned diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1 1/2 ozs Italian style Spaghetti Sauce Mix
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 12 pcs manicotti pasta, cooked and drained
  • 12 pcs string cheese sticks
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare 11"x7" casserole dish with cooking spray; set aside. In a large saucepan, cook onions until tender. Add tomatoes, water, spaghetti sauce mix, and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for ten minutes, or until heated through. Meanwhile, cook manicotti according to package directions. Drain and rinse. Cool. Insert a cheese stick into each manicotti tube. Place tubes into prepared dish. Pour sauce evenly over each tube. Bake for 30 minutes.
