Beefy Vegetables Barley Soup

Adapted from General MIlls, Inc.

  • 8 ozs extra lean beef stew meat, cooked and cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 ozs barley
  • 3 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tsps pizza seasoning
  • 1 1/4 tsps salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 ozs frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
Beefy Vegetables Barley Soup
In a 3 1/2-quart slow cooker combine cubed meat, onions, barley, beef broth, water, pizza seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well. Cover and cook on low for five hours. Add mixed vegetables. Increase setting to high and cook again for 20 minutes, or until vegetables are cooked.
