Whole Wheat Blueberry Waffles

Adapted from Waffles

  • 3/4 cup unbleached flour
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups fat-free milk
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 4 ozs frozen blueberries
Whole Wheat Blueberry Waffles
Heat Belgian waffle iron and spray with cooking spray. In a mixing bowl, combine flours, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt; set aside. Mix well. In a liquid measure, combine milk, oil, and eggs. Mix until blended. Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients until all is moistened. Pour half cup batter per waffle onto hot waffle iron. Bake for four minutes, or as directed from your waffle iron instructions.
