Sweet and Spicy Walnuts

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 16 ozs walnuts
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tsps hot pepper sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
Sweet and Spicy Walnuts
Preheat oven to 300. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside. In a large saucepan, combine walnuts, honey, sugar, water, and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil and cook for ten minutes, or until syrupy. Spread the nut mixture onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Once cooled, break into small pieces.
