Sugar Crumb Crispy Crescents

Adapted from Bake Off Cookbook

  • 3 tbsps light margarine, softened
  • 1/4 c granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c unbleached flour
  • 8 ozs reduced fat crescent dinner rolls
  • Glaze:
  • 1/2 c powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp fat-free milk
Preheat oven to 400. In a small bowl, combine margarine, sugars, cinnamon, salt, and flour. Mix until crumbly. Separate dough into eight triangles. Sprinkle with cinnamon mixture. Place onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for ten minutes, or until lightly browned. Meanwhile, to prepare glaze, combine powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk in a small bowl. Mix until smooth. Brush over warm triangles.
