In a large skillet, cook chicken, onions, mushrooms, and garlic until chicken is no longer pink. Spoon chicken mixture into a 5-quart slow cooker. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, oregano, sugar, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper. Mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for five hours, or until bubbly.
