Saucy Turkey

Adapted from Taste of Home Magazine

  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 14 ozs no-salt-added ketchup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 tsp low-sodium worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1/4 tsp pepper sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 20 ozs turkey light meat, skinless, cooked and shredded
  • 8 whole hamburger buns
In a large saucepan, cook bell peppers and onions until tender. Add ketchup, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, hot pepper sauce and pepper. Add shredded turkey. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until heated through. Spoon half cup mixture onto each bun.
