Pulled Turkey Sandwiches

Adapted from Butterball, LLC.

  • 10 ozs turkey light meat, skinless
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 8 ozs no-salt-added tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsps worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 10 whole hamburger buns
Pulled Turkey Sandwiches
Place turkey into a food processor and process until turkey is shredded. In a large skillet, cook turkey and onions until turkey is cooked through. Place mixture into a 3 1/2 - quart slow cooker. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, chili powder, and salt. Mix well. Cover and cook on low for two hours or until heated through. Place 1/4 cup turkey mixture onto each bun bottom.
