Microwave Cherry Crisp

Adapted from Taste of Home Magazine

  • 21 ozs cherry pie filling
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup unbleached flour
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
In a 2-quart glass round dish, combine pie filling and lemon juice; set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and allspice. Cut in margarine until coarse crumbs form. Add walnuts. Sprinkle mixture over top pie filling in dish. Microwave, uncovered on 70% power for four minutes, or until bubbly. This recipe was made in a 1100-watt microwave.
