Classic Tuna Sandwich

Adapted from

  • 12 ozs tuna in water, drained and flaked
  • 1 c celery, sliced
  • 2 whole hard-boiled egg whites
  • 1/2 c light mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsps pickle relish
  • 1 tsp bottled lemon juice
  • 20 slices whole wheat bread
In a mixing bowl, combine tuna, celery, egg whites, mayonnaise, pickle relish, and lemon juice. Mix well. Chill several hours before serving. This recipe makes 10 sandwiches each using 1/4 cup tuna mixture. Bread slices can be toasted, if desired.
