Chocolate Chip Nut Bars

Adapted from Cake & Frosting Mix Cookbook

  • 18 1/4 ozs yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/2 ozs Dream Whip whipped topping mix, dry
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 7 ozs mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
Chocolate Chip Nut Bars
Preheat oven to 375. Prepare a jelly roll pan with cooking spray; set aside. In a mixing bowl, cake mix, whipped topping mix, water, eggs, brown sugar, and oil. Mix until moistened. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until browned on top. Cut into 3 x 1 1/2" bars.
