Candied Spiced Nut Mix

Adapted from General Mills, Inc.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsps pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 20 ozs mixed nuts
Candied Spiced Nut Mix
Preheat oven to 300. Place a piece of parchment paper onto baking sheet; set aside. In a shallow bowl, combine sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Mix well and set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine egg whites and water. Mix until foamy. Add nuts. Mix until nuts are well coated. Add sugar mixture. Mix again until well coated. Place nuts evenly onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes five cups or 20 - 1/4 cup servings.
