Brownie Goody Bars

Adapted from General Mills, Inc.

  • 20 1/2 ozs brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 whole egg
  • 8 ozs vanilla frosting
  • 3 tbsps cocktail peanuts, chopped
  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 6 ozs milk chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare bottom only of 13" x9" pan with cooking spray: set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine brownie mix, water, oil, and egg. Mix until all is moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 26 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Spread cooled brownies evenly with vanilla frosting. Sprinkle peanuts evenly over top. Refrigerate while making cereal mixture. Set aside three cups cereal in a mixing bowl. In a large saucepan, melt peanut butter and chocolate chips over low heat, stirring constantly. Pour over cereal in bowl. Mix until all cereal is covered with chocolate mixture. Spread evenly over chilled brownies. Cool completely.
