Broccoli Cheese Strata

Adapted from Slow Cooker Casseroles & More

  • 6 pcs whole wheat bread slices
  • 4 ozs cheddar and monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups fat-free milk
  • 6 whole eggs, slightly beaten
  • 10 ozs frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
Broccoli Cheese Strata
Prepare a 9"x13" pan with cooking spray. Place bread pieces onto bottom of pan. Sprinkle evenly with cheese. In a mixing bowl, combine milk, eggs, broccoli, salt, and black pepper. Mix well. Pour over bread and cheese in pan. Cover and chill for six hours. Bake, uncovered at 350 for one hour or untll top is browned.
