Apple Crunch

Adapted from

  • Crust:
  • 6 ozs reduced fat vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine, softened
  • Topping:
  • 1 lb Granny Smith apples, cored and chopped
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
Apple Crunch
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare a 9"x13" pan with cooking spray; set aside. In a small bowl, combine wafer crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and margarine. Mix until crumbly. Press onto bottom of prepared pan. In another small, combine cinnamon and remaining sugar. Mix well. Layer apples first, then sprinkle evenly with wafter crumb mixture, and sugar mixture. Cover and bake for 45 minutes, or until apples are tender.
