Tex-Mex Turkey Tacos

Adapted from Family Fun

  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 8 ozs tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tbsps chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 16 ozs turkey light meat, skinless, cooked and shredded
  • 16 pcs taco shells
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
Tex-Mex Turkey Tacos
In a large skillet, cook onions until tender. Add tomato sauce, water, chili powder, and salt. Mix well and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook five minutes. Stir in the turkey and cook until heated through. Place 1/3 cup turkey mixture into each taco shell. Top with one tablespoon of cheddar cheese and one tablespoon of lettuce
