Turkey Tortellini Soup

10 servings

2  tbsps  chicken broth  1  tsp  salt 
1  cup  onions, chopped  1  tsp  pizza seasoning 
1  whole  carrot, sliced thin  1  tsp  granulated sugar 
28  ozs  low sodium chicken broth  1/8 tsp  black pepper 
28  ozs  canned Italian style tomatoes, undrained  8  ozs  turkey light meat, skinless, cooked and chopped 
1/2 tbsp  basil  8  ozs  frozen cheese tortellini, cooked 
In a large skillet, heat chicken broth. Add onions and carrots for seven minutes, or until vegetables are tender. Add remaining broth, tomatoes, basil, salt, pizza seasoning, sugar, and pepper. Mix well and bring to a boil on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer covered 10 minutes. Add turkey and tortellini. Cook until heated through.
