Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce

16 servings

1/2 tbsp  olive oil  2  tbsp  granulated sugar 
8  ozs  mushrooms, sliced  1  tbsp  basil 
2  cups  onions, chopped  2  tsps  salt 
3  tsps  garlic, minced  1  tsp  pizza seasoning 
15  ozs  tomato sauce  1  tsp  oregano 
28  ozs  canned diced tomatoes, undrained  1/2 tsp  black pepper 
6  ozs  tomato paste  1/2 tsp  crushed red pepper 
Spray a 6-quart cooker with cooking spray. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add mushrooms, onions and garlic; cook until onions are tender and translucent. Spoon into cooker. Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, basil, salt, pizza seasoning, oregano, black pepper, and red pepper. Mix well.Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours
