Slow Cooker Italian Spaghetti Sauce

2  lbs  ground chicken breast skinless  2  tbsps  basil 
2  cups  onions, chopped  1  tbsp  oregano 
6  ozs  mushrooms, sliced  1  tbsp  granulated sugar 
6  tsps  garlic, minced  1 1/2 tsps  salt 
28  ozs  canned diced tomatoes, undrained  1/2 tsp  black pepper 
29  ozs  tomato sauce  1/2 tsp  crushed red pepper 
12  ozs  tomato paste  
In a large skillet, cook chicken, onions, mushrooms, and garlic until chicken is no longer pink. Spoon chicken mixture into a 5-quart slow cooker. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, oregano, sugar, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper. Mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for five hours, or until bubbly.
