Maple Macadamia Snack Cake

   Cake:  1  tbsp  olive oil 
18 1/4 ozs  spice cake mix  1  tsp  pure vanilla extract 
1 1/2 ozs  Dream Whip whipped topping mix, dry     Topping: 
1/2 tsp  baking powder  3/4 cup  macadamia baking pieces 
1  tsp  cinnamon  1/2 cup  unbleached flour 
3/4 cup  cold water  3  tbsps  granulated sugar 
1/4 cup  maple syrup  3  tbsps  margarine, softened 
1/2 cup  egg whites  
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare a 9 x 13" pan with cooking spray; set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, whipped topping mix, and baking powder. In another mixing bowl, combine water, syrup, egg whites, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix dry ingredients with wet ingredients just until moistened. Spread mixture into prepared pan. To prepare topping, combine nuts,flour, sugar, and margarine until mixture is crumbly. Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
