Fusilli with Tomato and Meat Sauce

8 servings

1 lb ground chicken breast skinless 1 tsp Italian seasoning 
1 c onions, chopped 1/2 tsp granulated sugar 
2 tsps garlic, minced 1/8 tsp black pepper 
28 ozs canned Italian style tomatoes, cut up and undrained 8 ozs fusilli pasta, cooked 
To prepare sauce, cook chicken, onions, and garlic until chicken is no longer pink. Add tomatoes, seasoning, sugar, and black pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 40 minutes, or until most liquid has evaporated, stirring occasionally. Serve sauce over cooked pasta.
