Fudgy Cocoa Brownies

12 servings

1 c granulated sugar  3 tbsps light margarine, melted 
1/2 c unbleached flour  1/2 c egg whites, slightly beaten 
1/3 c cocoa powder  1 tsp pure vanilla extract 
1/4 tsp salt  8 ozs milk chocolate frosting 
3 tbsps walnuts, chopped  
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare a 8" square pan with cooking spray; set aside. In a mixing bowl, sift together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add walnuts, melted margarine, egg whites, and vanilla extract. Spread mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. When brownies have cooled, spread with frosting.
