Candy Cane Snowballs

Adapted from General Mills, Inc.

  • 3 1/2 cups unbleached flour
  • 2 cups margarine, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsps pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped fine
  • 8 ozs Baker's white chocolate baking squares, melted
  • 1 cup peppermint candies, crushed
Candy Cane Snowballs
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, margarine, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and walnuts. Mix well. Refrigerate dough for three hours or until chilled. Preheat oven to 350. Prepare baking sheets with cooking spray; set aside. Make dough into 1" balls. Place on prepared baking sheets and bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned on bottom. Let cool. Meanwhile melt chocolate until smooth. Dip the top of each cookie into melted chocolate then into crushed peppermint candy.
