For the health-conscious individual, I have organized all of the recipes based on the categories listed below. The Daily Reference Values page provides a tool for calculating the recommended maximum amount of these nutrients for the total number of calories you eat in a day.

Nutrition Information Categories
Calories
Total Calories per serving. A calorie measures the energy stored in a food. The number of calories required per day by an individual will vary based on their age, height, weight, sex, and activity level.
Total Fat
Total Fat per serving includes saturated, monounsatured, and polyunsatured fats. High levels of saturated fat in the diet are linked to greater risk of heart disease.
Percent Calories From Fat
The Percent Calories From Fat provides a measure of how much fat is in a serving compared to the overall calories. Current recommendations suggest eating foods that are below 30% calories from fat.
Fiber
Total Dietary Fiber per serving. Research suggest that fiber may prevent cancer, diabetes, heart disease and obesity. Current recommendations are to consume between 20-35 grams of fiber per day.
Sodium
Total Sodium per serving. Many studies have shown that a high sodium intake is associated with higher blood pressure. Current guidelines are to consume no more than 2,400 milligrams of sodium per day. That's a little more than the sodium contained in one level teaspoon of salt.
Cholesterol
Total Cholesterol per serving. Cholesterol is found in meat, poultry, seafood and dairy products and can also raise your blood cholesterol level. The American Heart Association recommends that you eat less than 300 milligrams of dietary cholesterol per day.
Carbohydrates
Total Carbohydrates per serving. Carbohydrates come in two basic forms: simple and complex. Examples of simple carbohydrates are sugars like fructose and glucose. Examples of complex carbohydrates include starch and fiber.
Protein
Total Protein per serving. Like carbohydrates, protein provides the body with energy. sources of protein include meat, fish, eggs, poultry, dairy products, beans and nuts.
Sugars
Total Sugars per serving. Sugars are a form of carbohydrate. Ultimately, all carbohydrates with the exception of fibers are broken down into sugars during digestion.
